The Rugendas is the first "Boutique" Hotel in Chile, and it was designed keeping in mind the comfort of its guests. Hotel Rugendas is closely linked to the arts, starting by its name, that honors the famous German painter Juan Mauricio Rugendas, who traveled through Chile between 1834 and 1844, perpetuating on his paintings and illustrations the very soul and folklore of the country. Reproductions of his paintings decorate the warm premises of the hotel.

The hotel is located in the El Golf neighborhood, where all the country's most important business centers and residential areas meet, in the very heart of the Las Condes district. The main characteristic of this zone of the Metropolitan area is the good measures of civil protection that are currently in place. They have successfully implemented a citizens' security system in order to protect and provide a safe environment to all its neighbors and tourists in general, 24 hours a day, with permanent patrolling of the City Hall guards in close coordination with the Metropolitan Police.
