Las Araucarias Ski Center

Las Araucarias Ski Center is located in 82 kms (51 mi) to the north-east of Temuco, at the foot of Llaima Volcano. Touristc complex, located inside a wonderful place surrounded by millenarian Araucarias, it has complete facilities to assure your entertainment, such as Ski slopes, ski lifts, apartments, hostel, coffee shop-restaurant, everything designed for you and your family to enjoy an unforgettable vacation. The Ski Center has, for a greater security, controled access, snowtruck and others to clear the routes and parking, to offer a secure and fluid transit towards and in the complex.

Slopes and Ski Lifts

Las Araucarias has an extensive Ski Area, suitable for all kind of skiers, beginners and advanced; its slopes are located at the west of Llaima Volcano, from 1,550 mts (5,085 ft) a.s.l. up to 1,950 mts (6,400 ft) a.s.l.

Activities

In Las Araucarias ski center there are also many activities to enjoy the mountain, like the sports championships of randonee and ski, excursions with snow shoes, theme dinners, torchlight parade and karaoke contests.

Ski and Snowboard School

The ski center has a expert team of ski instructors who give lessons every kind of skiers, from the beginners to the expert skiers that have to improve their techniques.

Coffee Shop

Las Araucarias Ski Resort counts with Los Paraguas restaurant which offers a delicious menu with the best service and also every saturaday the visitors can enjoy the After Mountain time, in front of the chimney of the place.

How to get there

Las Araucarias is located in the west slope of Llaima Volcano, inside the Conguillio National Park, a wonderful place surrounded by ancient araucaria trees. The ski center is at 82 kilometers from Temuco city in the Ninth Region. You can get to Temuco city by land or in a flight from Santiago.
