This is a family hotel, located just 50 meters from the slopes. It has 121 rooms that interconnected for comfort and space for families or groups of friends. Each room has a terrace and views of the slopes, plus a direct exit to the heated pool.
It includes a welcoming cocktail, which takes place every Saturday in the Lounge Bar from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, half board with breakfast at the Mirador del Plomo restaurant and dinner at any of the following restaurants: Don Giovanni, La Fourchette or Mirador del Plomo with reservations. On the first night, dinner is at the Mirador del Plomo; and Aprés Ski, every day at Puerta del Sol Bar, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
The Hotel Puerta del Sol allows unlimited access to the slopes of Valle Nevado, through an access pass to the ski lifts, and can be used until the day before departure. It also has free ski equipment storage services.
Passengers can enter the Fitness room for free and relax in the sauna, or enjoy entertaining routines in the gym and daily aerobics and stretching classes. Guests staying for a minimum of 7 days are entitled to a 25 minute body massage, with a reservation.
Another benefit for guests is unlimited access to the heated outdoor pool and hotel facilities such as game rooms, pubs and group activities.
For children, there is a Nursery service (for children 3 to 7 years of age) from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, excluding lunch.
Besides all this, the Puerta del Sol Hotel offers free Wi-Fi in all its common areas such as lobby, Puerta del Sol bar Hotel and the hotel's restaurant, with a password that is given upon entering the hotel. It also has cybercafé services, cable television, a safe and free parking.

Time Table
| Schedule | Description |
| Check-in | Upon arrival. Rooms are ready and available at 4:00 PM. If any guests arrive to the ski resort prior to such time, baggage may be checked in custody and guests may use the other facilities and services that the resort offers until the room is provided at the official time. |
| Check-out | Day of departure. Rooms must be returned by 10:00 AM. If guests return the room after such time, reception will charge a Late Checkout fee to the account. |
